Benjamin Chambers needs saving, he just does not know it yet. Bored of his life of repetitive gigs with a band going nowhere fast and one night stands with girls who are only interested in his role as a lead singer, something has got to change. It’s just what do you do when the only life you know involves messing around with guitars and attempting to run away from any female attention that comes your way.
Ben has a New Year’s resolution and one that he is determined to keep, quit the band and get a life of his own. Little does Ben realise that on his last night with his band Sound Box he is going to meet a girl who will turn everything he knows upside down.
As Ben sets himself the challenge to find ‘The Girl’ again, he may be about to learn that in an effort to rescue her, he himself will be the one to be saved.
Thank you Anna for sending me the book to read and review. You don’t understand how much joy it gave me!
You should all know by now just how much I love Benjamin Chambers! He is sexy, a true gentleman and just perfect. He is the guy every girl wants.
The Saving of Benjamin Chambers is a short story which is part of the Uni Files series. The story is of course all about Ben and told in his POV. We’ve all had the delight of finding about Ben and Lilah’s relationship through The Art of Letting Go’ – link here – but obviously only from Lilah’s mind.
I will admit that I was slightly more interested in Ben’s viewpoint because quite frankly. I am obsessed with his mind. I mean don’t get me wrong I did love Lilah’s story, I’m just more interested in a boys mind. What things do they think about?
What I liked most about the novel was how Ben felt about Lilah, he loved her even after only a few hours. Feelings like that only happen in fairytales and usually come from the female lead so it was a nice difference to see the male be the lovey-dovey type for once!
