The Review
Excuse me whilst I fan girl all over this post because you do realise that’s going to happen an awful lot.

I was a huge Busted fan when I was younger and I’ll happily admit that I still love them now – who wouldn’t? I was the fan that bought everything, watched everything and even went everywhere just to show my support. I’m even in the Busted video ‘Who’s David’ (well, my arm is but still I’m in it).

I wouldn’t say I was going into the book with a critical head, but I definitely had high expectations. However, Jennifer did a fantastic job at bringing the Busted and Mcfly world to life. I knew most (if not all) of what happened with Busted so it was nice to go back to my youth and remember the fun fangirl moments I experienced. I particularly had strong nostalgia for when I read about Busted splitting up. I thought back to that sad day in January – 10 years ago to the date!!! – when the press conference aired telling us that they were splitting up and I cried – why were they doing this to me? I hated Charlie with a passion and hated what he was doing to all us fans – is it sad that I probably dislike him now for ruining my youth? Oh, how good it was being a teenage fan girl.

I didn’t know that much about Mcfly so it was quite interesting to read about their lives and the struggles they went through, but I doubt I’d make a point of buying a single or anything – I love(d) Busted and that’s why I read the book.

The Mcbusted book also made me realise that even celebrities don’t have perfect lives and they too go through things just like you and me. It must be hard to be a teenager in the industry especially when you have sex, drugs and alcohol at your disposal. I did feel real empathy with their addiction and especially Tom’s demons with weight.

The Mcbusted book is PERFECT for Busted or/and Mcfly fans alike.
