The Blurb
Sienna Murphy never does anything without a plan. And so far her plans have been working. Right after college, she got a prestigious job and gained the stability she’d always craved – until work takes her to the sun-drenched shores of Oahu and places her in the path of sexy surfer Luke Everett. For the first time, she lets her heart take control. Drawn to his carefree charm, she makes a spontaneous and very un-Sienna-like decision to drop everything and stay in Hawaii for two more weeks.

Luke lives fast and wild. When he meets Sienna, he’s convinced that some no-strings-attached fun is just what she needs. As their nights quickly turn from playful to passionate, Luke can’t deny the deep connection he feels. But there’s a reason Luke doesn’t do long-term. He can’t promise Sienna forever, when the enormity of his past has shown him just how fragile the future can be…

The Review
Thanks to Piatkus Books and Clara for sending me a copy to read and review.

The Moment of Letting Go, as the name states, is all about letting go and being free, and main character Sienna certainly does just that. She works in exotic locations and samples the world, but is it all as exciting as it seems? During one event she meets Luke, a random man that she sees on the beach. He gives her the weird ultimatum to stay with him for an extra two weeks or go back to a life of stress.

At first, I was a little skeptical of the novel because who just decides to spend two weeks with a total stranger? Yes, I know she was physically attracted to Luke, but the whole concept was just a little unrealistic. However, I understand that Sienna just wanted to be free and leave behind the stress of her high powered job. She wanted to do something different for once, where no one would expect of her.

Sienna and Luke have a relationship that is fun, spontaneous and exciting. They haven’t been together for very long, but sometimes for them that’s the best way. I did find that Luke definitely wore the trousers and pretty much made Sienna do things she wasn’t that uncomfortable with – nothing bad, don’t worry!

The Moment of Letting Go was an easy read and something you could relax with. There were elements that I found a little unrealistic and boring, but that’s just me – I hope you enjoy!
