The Blurb
He’s a devastatingly handsome, filthy-rich CEO. She’s a high-flying London lawyer. All it takes is one boardroom pitch. One hostile takeover. Vengeful Love is darkly suspenseful, sinfully sexy white-collar romance at its very best.

I’ve always walked the straight and narrow – following the rules, never straying from my chosen path.

Until Mr. Sexy Bazillionaire CEO Gregory Ryans walked into my life. It was only supposed to be business, but one brush of his wicked lips against my skin changed everything. I can’t deny what this man inspires in me. I’ll do anything he asks…even help destroy the enemies from his past.

But he’s hiding more than he’s telling me. When our love leads to tragedy, there’s no going back. Gregory’s past is trying to kill our future.

They say love can bring a person to their knees. I’ve just proven that vengeful love is the strongest force of all.

Rating: 4/5

The Review
Thank you to author Laura for the copy of Vengeful Love to read and review.

Welcome to the first in the series, where we learn about CEO Gregory and Lawyer Scarlett. Scarlett is working for Gregory and is helping with a takeover of a business.

Let’s just say business definitely turns into pleasure. The novel is steamy, playful and fun. Although Gregory comes across as the dominant one, it’s evident that Scarlett takes no crap. She’s an independent woman and knows what she wants and when.

Don’t be put off by the levels of steamy scenes because in reality the scenes are second to the emotional story laced within the pages. Both characters haven’t had easy lives and Scarlett is currently coping with her Dad’s illness, which must be hard with her grueling work schedule. Plus, Gregory has erratic childhood memories to contend with.

It’s evident that Laura has a legal background because it is delivered in her writing. She describes some legal processes involving Gregory’s business and you learn bits of knowledge. Don’t worry though it isn’t boring, it’s interesting and the bits she explains you need to know to understand what is going on – it’s not always plan sailing in business.

Vengeful Love is part of a trilogy, so I’d definitely be interested in reading the other two pieces!
